Running a customer survey on 800PBX

July 9th, 2009

Once you complete your customer survey planning phase, it is time to take advantage of the advanced 800PBX Survey feature.

The process is really simple. If you have created a .wav file with your questions, just upload it and the system will take it from there. If you have your questions written down, the system can convert your text file to speech.

Once your customers call, they can choose to complete the survey. The questions are delivered in natural language, and your customers will be able to speak their answers. The results will be automatically tracked and e-mailed to the address you specify. It’s that easy.

Creating a customer survey

July 9th, 2009

When was the last time you surveyed your customers? Do you have a good grasp on customer satisfaction levels?

If you don’t remember, or are not sure about the answers to these questions, maybe it is time to create a customer survey. First, it is recommended you do some planning. Here are the first steps:

Step 1: Define your objectives
What do you want to learn through the survey? Limit your objectives to no more than 3 for a single survey.

Step 2: Decide which customer segments you want to survey
If your customers span several segments, pick the segments which are the most crucial, or those you know the least about. Don’t be too narrow in your selection of customers, or your results will not be representative of your customer base.

Step 3: Prepare the survey questions
It is highly recommended you engage with a marketing professional to create an effective survey. A common pitfall is creating a very long survey, which tires customers quickly.

Step 4: Test-drive the survey with employees and colleagues
At this point it is a good idea to get the feedback of others. You might have to go back for revisions a few times.

Step 5: Run it!
Time to let the 800PBX system work for you. It is easier than you think.

Automated phone appointment scheduling

June 29th, 2009

Running your business often involves spending hours on the phone with customers. As a business owner, do you ever wish you could find affordable and professional front desk help?

Personal assistants and front desk assistants can often get the job done. The question is can you afford one? If so, how do you find one who always sounds professional, is never late, never has a bad day, and can talk with multiple customers at the same time without ever needing a break?

Now, imagine this scenario: Bob Rich, one of your most valued customers, calls your business at 7am on a Friday before a long holiday weekend. Your office is not open yet. Bob is about to board a plane from LA to NYC, and will be out of pocket the rest of the day. He wants to make an appointment as soon as possible. He dials your office number anxious for a response. What happens next?

How about this: a professional assistant answers the phone and greets Bob pleasantly. The assistant asks Bob what type of appointment he is interested in. The assistant is trained and knows that a consultation takes only 30 min, but a regular appointment takes one hour. Bob can choose the day and the specific time to meet with you, based on your calendar availability. The assistant books the appointment on your Google or Outlook calendar, and asks Bob if he would like a reminder call the day before. Bob talks to the assistant in his natural voice and tone, and the assistant responds back promptly and courteously each time.

Where can you find this ideal employee who answers calls at 7am and how much will you have to pay?

The assistants name is Automated Scheduling. And 800PBX can offer you your own for an incredibly low price. Want more info? Check out.
