Call-hunt and never miss a call

One of the virtual pbx features is call hunt.

Unlike follow me, call-hunt calls all the desginated numbers ‘simultaneously’ until the call is accepted. Call is connected with whoever receives the call first.

This feature however has a drawback and is NOT particular to 800PBX’s virtual pbx services. As the call is broadcasted as opposed to follow-me’s calling one by one, call hunt does not allow screening of live presence at receiver’s end and the call might be actually connected to your voicemail of the carrier.

For follow-me, 800PBX confirms a human presence by prompting for user input (”Press 1 to take this call”). This is not possible for call-hunt.

Pros: Call hunt lets you never miss an important call and the wait time is less when compared to follow-me
Cons: If you are using a cell-phone, watch out. The caller can be sent to the voicemail of the carrier.

I have been using your 800pbx service for quite some time. I have seen the company grow from the beginning and how it evolved.

It is really helpful for small business organizations like ours with all the wonderful calling features! Good luck with your operations.
