Ever wished to use your technical expertise to program your incoming and outgoing phone calls? 800PBX powerful telephone API provides you the platform for the telephony development.
Whether you want to write cool stuff like announcing the real weather report to the incoming caller based on the caller input – zip code- or you wish to implement your business logic for support or hr purposes like announcing the number of leaves or the status of a leave request, 800PBX API can help you implement in simple steps. Many of the companies participating in the third party telephone API program have used the platform for sending real-time emergency alerts, directory information; improve customer service and even reading their email out through phone.
Writing applications using 800PBX API is made simple in four easy steps.
To use the Phone API, you need to sign up for a developer account. You will receive an email within 24 hours with your username and password. If you haven’t heard back from the developer relations group, you can write to us directly at developers@800pbx.com

Looking at the sample example provided, you can implement your business logic to your program.
The implementation is done using Java programming language. At this point, you can authenticate with a pin number, hang up, read input from the caller, play a sound file, play currency, play digits, play characters, dial a number to put the caller in conference, originate outgoing calls and even play a text using advanced text to speech technology.
You can upload the shared component to your development account and target your solution to our customers immediately.
Please check with our business development team for a deployment license. You can write to us at developers@800pbx.com for any enquiries.

We also have few code examples available to show the usage of powerful and complex features of the API.
Please write to us agreements at developers@800pbx.com for further questions, API usage, SDK developer support, technical questions or to discuss OEM licensing.
